New local page for Citizen Corps and CERT. Use
the link to the left for "Tornado and Thunderstorm Preparedness". We're urging
all schools, health care facilities, businesses, and citizens to upgrade your
weather radio to the newer, programmable "SAME" Weather Alert Radios.
"SAME" stands for "specific area message
encoding". You program the radio to alert for emergencies ONLY in Paducah or
McCracken County. When it alerts, it means it effects YOU. Not for an event 40
miles away.
