National Electric Code, NFPA 70, 2006: adopted by reference in the KBC and KRC and applies to the installation of electrical systems, including alterations, repairs, replacement, equipment, appliances, fixtures, fittings and appurtenances thereto.
International Mechanical Code, 2006: adopted by reference in the KBC and is used for all mechanical installation other than one and two family dwellings and townhouses.
Kentucky State Plumbing Code, 2006: adopted by reference in the KBC and KRC and used for all interior plumbing.
International Fuel Gas Code, 2006: adopted by reference in the KBC and applies to the installation of gas piping from the point of delivery to the inlet connections of appliances and the installation and operation of commercial gas appliances and related accessories.
International Energy Conservation Code, 2006: adopted by reference in the KBC and applies to all matters governing the design and construction of building for energy efficiency except one and two family dwelling and townhouses.
International Fire Code, 2006: adopted by reference in the KBC and applies to matters relating to new construction in building where specifically referenced in the KBC only.
